Chevron is one of the largest refiner and wholesalers of crude oil in the United States. They make over 250 billion dollars in revenue every year on the gas that we, as consumers, need to run our lives. Unfortunately, the same black oil we can’t live without also pollutes the environment, causing harm to our waterways, our health and many developing countries whole political systems.
To mitigate some of the environmental damage and public outcry, Chevron recently experimented with sustainable, safe and renewable energy sources including wind and solar power.
To promote Chevron’s goodwill campaign in the Northern California community of San Jose, One Hour Delivery Service was hired to notify thousands of homeowners in the neighborhoods surrounding the 15 different elementary schools where the solar panels were installed.
The response was a success, with parents, teachers and students rallying to support the schools in becoming more energy efficient, more sustainable, and less costly – and ultimately benefiting the children of those communities.
